[Hiring] Learning Experience Designer @Atlassian

Role Description

We're hiring a Learning Experience Designer on our customer learning team. This role sits within the Learning Content Development team which is responsible for creating and maintaining all customer learning content. In this role, you will collaborate across the Atlassian Community & Learning team on varied projects that further the team’s vision to improve product adoption. You’ll provide tangible value and career advancement for our learners through learning content design and production.

• Design, develop, and maintain on-demand and instructor-led learning content.
• Build engaging, informational, accessible, and visually compelling learning experiences.
• Adapt to new challenges, pilot new ideas, and experiment with improvements to existing content based on customer feedback.
• Independently solve problems; collaborate effectively with your teammates.
• Ensure that all learning materials are consistent, up-to-date, and aligned with the larger team and company goals.
• Establish positive relationships with SMEs and other partners to ensure learning experiences are designed to improve customer outcomes.
• Find new ways to produce content that scale and resonate with our increasingly global audience.
• Support the creation of standardized tools, metrics, and evaluation processes across training to ensure a scalable approach when evaluating and addressing learning needs.
• Use agile methodology to define, create, develop, and manage projects through a prioritized backlog.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience developing industry-leading learning experiences.
• Deep expertise in learning experience design practices, adult learning principles, and effective methods of applying those in learning content design.
• Experience in data-driven decision-making and prioritizing projects based on learner needs and business goals.
• Experience designing conceptual graphics, editing videos, and recording in-product demos.
• Experience leading through influence.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and a changing professional landscape.
• Champion projects to drive them to completion and delivery amidst the shifting nature of SaaS.
• Thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments, are innovative and creative, and like to experiment.
• Experience in stakeholder management, strong collaboration skills, and project management.

Requirements

• Atlassian product experience (nice to have).
• Degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, Training and Development, Human Resource Development, Writing, or Visual Design (nice to have).
• Experience working on agile teams (nice to have).
• Experience with design tools (like Figma) and video editing tools (like Camtasia) (nice to have).
