Role Description
For our Department Digital - Finance & Governance, we are looking for a Junior IT Asset & Sourcing Management Specialist (f/m/d). The role is based at our Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany, and reports to the position Manager IT Asset & Sourcing.
As IT Asset & Sourcing Management Specialist you will manage and optimize the company's IT assets, software, and hardware by providing effective management strategies. This encompasses all processes during the asset lifecycle:
- Demand assessment
- Acquisition
- Assignment
- Inventory
- Decommissioning
You will provide sourcing solutions, including IT consulting services. License compliance and financial efficiency are inseparable parts of the job.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
- Software Asset Management: inventory control, optimization, lifecycle management, and reporting of license balance for core products.
- Sourcing and Procurement: contribute to vendor selection and contract negotiation.
- Build a strong Supplier Relationship Management with our key strategic partners.
- Procure IT consulting services to support various projects and initiatives.
- Build KPI metrics to monitor our partner performance.
- Cost Optimization: support the budgeting phase and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Set up effective optimization processes and ensure compliance.
- Cross-Functional Teams: work closely with IT, finance, and procurement teams.
- Stakeholder Communication: communicate asset-related information effectively towards other functions and country organizations.
Qualifications
- IT Knowledge: understand a wide range of IT systems, software, and hardware.
- Knowledge of licensing logic and measurement of enterprise software.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and digital systems.
- 1 up to 3 years of experience in this field is appreciated.
- Analytical Skills: analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Multitasking: juggle various responsibilities, including asset tracking, audits, and contract management.
- Communication: effectively communicate with colleagues, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiation Skills: negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
