Role Description

We are seeking a senior Jira Technical Architect to lead the architecture, governance, and strategic evolution of the Atlassian platform, including Jira Software, Confluence, and Jira Service Management. This role will serve as the technical lead and team lead for the Jira / Confluence Administrator and JSM Administrator roles, ensuring scalable platform design, enterprise standards, and alignment with Agile, collaboration, and ITSM needs.

• Own Atlassian platform architecture, standards, and technical roadmap.
• Lead and mentor the Senior Jira / Confluence Administrator and Senior JSM Administrator roles.
• Define standards for workflows, permissions, automation, integrations, governance, and platform supportability.
• Support both Agile and ITSM use cases across Jira, Confluence, and JSM.
• Guide migrations, modernization efforts, and platform simplification initiatives.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex platform design, integration, and governance decisions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Atlassian experience, including Jira, Confluence, and JSM.
• 3+ years in a technical architect, lead, or platform leadership role.
• Strong experience with enterprise governance, solution design, integrations, and automation.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery models and ITSM processes.
• Experience mentoring administrators and leading platform standards.
• Experience with Zendesk-to-JSM or similar migrations preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Requirements

• Provides architectural direction for the Atlassian platform.
• Acts as the technical authority and team lead for the two administrator roles.
• Balances hands-on technical depth with strategy, governance, and roadmap planning.
