[Hiring] Janitorial Area Manager @S&I Services Group

Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Brunswick / Prince Edward Island Area Manager to oversee operations across multiple locations in both of the above regions. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in janitorial supervision. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive process improvements and manage projects effectively while ensuring that all team members are motivated and aligned with the company’s goals.

• Inspects assigned accounts, ensuring work performed meets company and customer standards for account retention.
• Supervise and manage multiple locations across the New Brunswick/PEI region.
• Visit customers on a regular basis to maintain satisfactory relationships.
• Adhere to all Company policy and procedures.
• Implements work schedules and ensures accurate time record keeping for each account site. Assign cleaning personnel to accounts.
• Conduct Quality Audits, site visitation, follow up on routine work/special jobs, and integral interaction with clients.
• Hire, promote, transfer or discipline employees in assigned accounts under the guidance of the Operations Manager.
• Conduct orientation and initial training for new staff.
• Requisition and maintain necessary equipment and supplies for all accounts.
• Extensive travel to various sites to conduct inspections, deliver supplies and meet with employees.
• Provide daily reports to the Operations Manager.
• Resolve day-to-day issues in each account.
• Immediately respond to any customer complaints.
• Assist the Site Manager/Supervisor with problems.
• Promote operational quality standards.
• Perform cleaning duties at site if necessary.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Operations Manager.
• Must be able to drive around for longer periods of time, since this position requires going to multiple sites in New Brunswick and PEI.
• Must be able to provide a clear driver’s abstract before starting this role along with a cleared criminal record check.
• Be available for flexible hours, potentially weekends, night or day shifts. We are a 24/7 business, and the hours of work will encompass the core hours for client visits as well as core hours for employee visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Maintenance or Janitorial Services in a Management position.
• Experience with stripping and waxing and routine day portering services within retail or commercial settings.
• Must be able to operate cleaning equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing.
