Role Description
As an IT Systems Administrator intern, you will be responsible for managing the organization's technology infrastructure and ensuring that it runs smoothly.
- Manage and maintain the organization's technology infrastructure
- Provide technical support to staff and volunteers
- Troubleshoot issues that arise with hardware and software
- Ensure the security and protection of the organization's data
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems and processes
- Research and recommend new technology solutions to improve organizational efficiency
Qualifications
- While there are no specific educational requirements for this position, having a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field would be beneficial.
- At least 1 year of experience in IT system administration or a related field
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and operating systems
- Familiarity with cloud-based services such as AWS or Azure is a plus
Requirements
- This is an unpaid internship position.
- The intern will work remotely and will need to have access to their own computer and internet connection.
- The intern will work closely with the IT team and will have the opportunity to learn about technology infrastructure management in a non-profit setting.
