[Hiring] IT Support & Automation Specialist @saas.group

Role Description

This role is part of our Central IT & Information Security Team at saas.group. We want to build the world's leanest IT department. You will be in charge of creating innovative solutions to help our users with their daily full remote setup while keeping the information secure by following the Honest Security framework. You will help admin our day-to-day collaboration tools (Slack, Google Workspace, Asana, Notion among others) using edge-cutting tools like Trelica, as well as helping automate manual work leveraging AI tools as much as possible, as well as help our user base with their IT support requests.

Your immediate impact in the first 3-6 months will be:

• Take over ownership of IT support tickets, ensuring fast, clear, and effective responses to user requests.
• Improve and extend existing IT automations (e.g., onboarding/offboarding workflows, integrations with brand-specific tools).
• Identify at least 3 high-impact manual processes and successfully automate them using AI or scripting.
• Build trust across the saas.group community by becoming the go-to person for day-to-day IT support needs.
• Document new workflows, automations, and support guidelines to strengthen knowledge sharing and self-service support.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve IT support requests from distributed team members in a timely and empathetic manner.
• Build, enhance, and maintain automations for IT processes, focusing on reducing manual work and improving efficiency.
• Administer and configure our key collaboration and productivity tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Notion, Trelica, and others).
• Partner with different teams to ensure seamless employee lifecycle management.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve IT operations by introducing innovative solutions and AI-powered automation.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation to support knowledge transfer and empower self-service.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of professional experience in IT support, automation, or development roles (ideally in startup-like or remote-first environments).
• Hands-on experience with ticketing systems and resolving IT support queries.
• Strong technical background with exposure to coding/scripting (Python is a plus) and familiarity with cloud environments.
• Experience managing user identities, permissions, and app configurations across SaaS tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong service orientation, empathy, and ability to set/manage expectations.
• Self-starter mindset with strong prioritization skills and the drive to reduce manual work through automation.
