[Hiring] International Energy Transition Carbon Credits Intern @Center for Climate and Energy Solutions

Role Description

The Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) is seeking an intern to assist in the operations of the Kinetic Coalition. The intern will play a vital role in supporting logistics, outreach, and event organization.

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Kinetic Coalition with logistics and organization of meetings and roundtables
• Assist with drafting and refining Kinetic Coalition outreach documents
• Be an active participant in Secretariat meetings, contributing thoughts and ideas as Kinetic Coalition implements and expands its work
• Assist with C2ES virtual, hybrid, and in-person events
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree, or student close to obtaining a degree, in environmental studies, or a related field, or business
• Familiarity with climate change issues, carbon markets preferred
• Great writing, editing, and research skills
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and on a team
• Knowledge of social media, graphic design, or website design is a plus (Adobe, Canva, HTML)

Requirements

• Preference will be given to local applicants
• Internship can be local at our office: 1400 K Street Northwest, Washington, DC, USA, or remote from specific states
• Full-time internship of 37.5 hours per week for three months during Summer 2025
• Part-time internships of at least 22.5 hours per week/3 days per week can also be considered
• Option for up to two three-month internship extension (for a total of nine months) may be considered
• Hourly Wage: $20.00
• Transportation stipend for interns working from the C2ES Office
