Role Description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for experienced Industrial Design CAD professionals with strong expertise in mechanical engineering, aerospace, industrial design, and multi-part CAD assembly interpretation to contribute to an advanced AI training project focused on engineering design analysis.

Selected professionals will:

• Review complex CAD assemblies, interpret design intent and component relationships, and develop precise technical question-and-answer content grounded in real engineering data.
• Work requires strong CAD knowledge, careful technical reasoning, and the ability to produce objective, unambiguous, assessment-ready material.
• No prior experience in AI is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated background in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial design, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge of CAD systems and engineering design principles.
• Expertise in interpreting multi-part assembly drawings, CAD files, and technical documentation.
• Proven ability to author technical documentation, assessment material, or other structured engineering content.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to technical precision.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD or comparable CAD environments.
• Direct FreeCAD experience is advantageous but not required.
• Ability to work independently and manage deliverables effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong interest in technical education, structured assessment, or expert-driven AI initiatives.
• No prior experience in AI research or model training is required.

Requirements

• Part-time independent contractor engagement.
• Fully remote.
• Compensation: $40–$80/hour.
• Work will involve CAD assembly interpretation, technical question authoring, answer development, engineering analysis, and documentation.
• Strong experience with multi-part CAD assemblies and technical design interpretation is important for this engagement.
• Familiarity with FreeCAD is beneficial but not mandatory.
• No prior experience in AI is required.
• Project scope, workload, timing, and duration may evolve depending on project requirements.
• Work must be completed without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
