Role Description

CHS is seeking a Process Deployment & Software Implementation Contractor to support Animal Nutrition plants. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with multi-site rollouts of standardized inventory processes and operational software, along with a proven ability to drive on-site adoption, validate system transactions against physical movements, and stabilize go-lives. This role requires someone who is comfortable working directly on the plant floor, partnering with plant operations, conducting physical inventory counts and receiving activities, supporting software deployments, and driving successful adoption across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Process Deployment & Rollout
  • Deploy the approved, standardized inbound and outbound inventory processes across the plant network.
  • Perform hand-count inventories and receiving activities alongside plant operations at select sites.
  • Develop site-specific:
    • Rollout plans
    • Readiness assessments
    • Go-live checklists
    • Stabilization plans
  • Lead on-site onboarding and floor walk-throughs.
  • Sequence works inbound-first at pilot sites, followed by outbound onboarding.
  • Apply lessons learned from pilot sites to accelerate subsequent rollouts.
• Site Adoption & Process Improvement
  • Gather and triage feedback from individual sites.
  • Distinguish between process gaps and adoption issues.
  • Route proposed process adjustments to the appropriate process owners for approval.
  • Execute approved standards consistently rather than redesigning processes locally.
  • Monitor adherence through site reviews and transaction audits.
  • Investigate variances, escalate systemic issues, and drive corrective actions through closure.
• Software Deployment & Systems
  • Support software deployment across:
    • ERP
    • Weigh-scale systems
    • Receiving-automation systems
    • Interim systems
    • Business Intelligence (BI) systems
  • Assist with:
    • Testing
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Data validation
    • Cutover
    • Go-live stabilization
  • Reconcile physical counts and scale activity against system inventory records.
  • Validate that system transactions accurately reflect actual material movement.
• Training & Change Management
  • Deliver or coordinate training and coaching for plant personnel.
  • Support the transition of receiving responsibilities to plant operations.
  • Establish clear ownership and accountability during the transition.
  • Drive user adoption and ensure standardized processes are consistently followed.
• Project & Rollout Management
  • Maintain and continuously update:
    • Rollout plan
    • Project schedule
    • Issue log
    • Risk register
    • Decision log
    • Action tracker
  • Provide regular status reports.
  • Escalate issues and risks in a timely manner.
  • Return to sites after go-live to re-verify inventory and receiving processes.
  • Confirm sustained performance and ownership with plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience deploying standardized processes and operational software across multiple sites.
• Hands-on implementation experience with:
  • ERP systems

• Strong knowledge of:

• Ability to execute an approved standard while capturing feedback and escalating proposed changes to process owners rather than redesigning processes locally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with:

• High availability with a near-full-time focus.
• Ability to travel approximately 50–60%.
• Comfortable working directly on the plant floor, including performing hand-counts and receiving activities.
