Role Description

Focus Interpreting is seeking a dedicated Hebrew Interpreter to join our interpretation team. The interpreter will provide accurate and professional interpretation services between Hebrew and English in-person or through Video Remote Interpreting (VRI).

• Provide professional Hebrew-English interpretation services onsite and remotely via VRI.
• Facilitate clear and effective communication in a variety of settings.
• Accurately interpret spoken communication from Hebrew into English and from English into Hebrew in real time.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics and interpretation standards.
• Demonstrate professionalism, impartiality, cultural sensitivity, accuracy, and attention to detail during all interpretation sessions.
• Stay informed about relevant terminology and developments in the Hebrew language to ensure high-quality interpretation.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Hebrew and English.
• Must be based in the United States, near Chatsworth preferred.
• Certification, training, or qualifications in interpretation preferred but not required.
• Prior experience with VRI interpretation preferred.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Ability to interpret accurately and efficiently in real time.
• Understanding of cultural nuances and the ability to provide culturally sensitive interpretation.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate equipment for VRI services.

Requirements
