Role Description
As Head of Government Relations at LILT, you will build and lead our government relations strategy, focusing on developing relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector while navigating complex regulatory landscapes. You will play a crucial role in positioning LILT as a trusted partner in AI-powered translation solutions for government agencies.
- Design and execute LILT's government relations strategy across federal, state, and local levels
- Cultivate relationships with government officials, agencies, and key decision-makers
- Partner with our business development team to advocate for new and existing customers
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting AI technology and language services
- Lead advocacy efforts and represent LILT in government meetings and industry events
- Collaborate with internal teams to align government relations initiatives with business objectives
- Create and manage educational programs to inform policymakers about AI language technology
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in government relations, preferably in technology or AI sectors
- Defense or Intelligence Community appropriations experience highly desired
- Strategic ability to understand a technology product and business goals and devise an appropriations plan
- Strong network of relationships within federal government agencies and the legislative branch
- Deep understanding of federal procurement processes and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree required
