[Hiring] GPSU Cybersecurity Spring Internship @GuidePoint Security

Role Description

As an intern at GuidePoint Security, you will work closely with industry-leading subject matter experts to provide first-class cyber security services. Interns will complete in-house training programs while working on projects to enhance their security knowledge and skills. Interns will gain experience through:

• Hands-On Technical Development
• Real-World Security Response
• Collaborative Project Work
• Team and Position Shadowing
• Partner-led Vendor Training and Certifications

Qualifications

• Be physically located within the United States during the entire duration of the internship
• Be available for full-time hire no later than September 2027
• Be able to attend the mandatory in-person onboarding hosted in Tampa, FL (all expenses paid)
• Have a basic understanding of information technology, networking, operating systems, and security - resume and application must clearly reflect this knowledge in order to be considered
• Have a genuine passion for information security
• Be motivated and eager to learn new skills
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and use AI-enabled tools
• Have demonstrated efforts toward entering cybersecurity, which may include:
  • Obtaining certifications
  • Attending trainings
  • Pursuing a formal education
  • Participating in industry organizations
  • Contributing to personal or industry projects

Requirements

• This position is not available for candidates living in the following states: Alaska, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming.
