Role Description

The Global Category leader - Flow E&I will report into Global Category Management Team Leader. You will have circa an ~$80M spend portfolio and will be responsible for developing, validating and implementing the global Procurement strategy for sub-categories within the portfolio.

You will work with Procurement Project/Product Leaders, Regional Category Leader, Technology, and Supply Chain Leaders.

Day to Day Duties:

  • Define a Global Category Strategy for assigned Categories that drives continuous improvement within the Category and benefits to the business.
  • Develop/Manage Preferred Supplier Network and Strategic Suppliers.
  • Define Contracting Strategy and lead Supplier Negotiations.
  • Drive Cash Improvements across assigned Categories.
  • Mitigate Risks to the business by driving a comprehensive strategy that builds a flexible supply chain and ensures continuity of supply.
  • Develop Best Cost Country strategy.
  • Drive supplier relationship management processes.
  • Report to Leadership on Market Trends and Category Performance.
  • General understanding of Direct material categories and water treatment technologies (products and operations).
  • Familiarity with market trends and key suppliers in the relevant Categories.
  • Knowledge of Supply base for Valves, Pipes & Fittings, Instruments, Analyzers, RO Pressure vessels.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, capable of developing presentations and comfortable interacting with internal/external stakeholders and Water Tech senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or time-served experience.
  • Solid experience in Category/Supplier Management, Purchasing, Production Control, Engineering, Product or Project management.
  • Experience in procurement of items in Flow, Electrical and Instrumentation Category.
  • Ability to travel - estimated to be 30% annually.
