Role Description

The Lead Generator Controls Field Service Engineer (FSE) will participate as a Regional Service Team member responsible for providing the best service for our customers across the USA. The Lead Generator Controls FSE will manage all resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products.

• Support execution of retrofit projects including installation, power up, and commissioning of:
• Excitation control solutions (EX2100e, EX2100, EX2000 DFE)
• Static Starter control solutions (LS2100, LS2100e)
• HMI upgrades
• TIL implementation
• Provide technical direction and guidance to craft labor in support of a power equipment outage.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and differentiating factors in the market.
• Uses judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters for complicated manufacturing processes.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience and may lead small projects with low risks.
• Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in Power generation, generator controls, and/or turbine controls.

Requirements

• Advanced experience in Field Service and Technical Advising in the Power Generation Industry.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Ability to travel for weeks at a time; 50% travel as required.
