[Hiring] Fundraising Coordinator @Project Access

Role Description

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a key support role in advancing Project Access’s Fund Development department and assists with a broad range of development activities including:

• Donor database maintenance
• Gift processing and acknowledgment
• Mass mailing coordination
• Special event support
• Volunteer and donor stewardship

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about building relationships that sustain community impact.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a nonprofit development, fundraising, or administrative support role
• Proficiency with donor management databases/CRM systems (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, GiveSmart, or similar)
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft professional donor correspondence
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Smartsheet and Canva (or similar design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite)
• Ability to handle confidential donor and financial information with discretion
• Strong interpersonal skills and a donor-centered, relationship-building approach
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Requirements

• Experience in affordable housing, social services, or community development nonprofit sectors (preferred)
• Familiarity with special event coordination and volunteer management (preferred)
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Bloomerang) and social media for donor engagement (preferred)
• Knowledge of gift processing, IRS substantiation requirements, and fundraising compliance basics (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and current automobile insurance
• Successful completion of background check
