[Hiring] Fraud Specialist @Novig

Role Description

This is an opportunity to help build out the fraud and risk function at one of the fastest-growing prediction markets in the country. You'll investigate multi-accounting, bonus abuse, and suspicious betting patterns — digging into the data, piecing together what's actually going on, and making the call on how to handle it. Every case sharpens the systems that keep the exchange fair and protect real users. This is perfect for someone who likes investigative work, trusts their judgment under pressure, and wants ownership over a function that's still being built. You're the person we turn to when something looks off and needs a clear-eyed person to figure out why.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in fraud operations, trust & safety, risk, or a similar investigative role.
• Experience in fintech, gaming, marketplaces, or high-volume e-commerce (strongly preferred).
• Comfortable working with data and internal tooling, ideally familiarity with SQL or analytics tools like Looker or Tableau.
• Strong investigative mindset and the ability to identify subtle patterns or anomalies in user behavior.
• Clear communication skills, especially when explaining why an account or activity is suspicious to non-technical teammates.

Requirements

• You’re naturally curious.
• You enjoy investigative work.
• You’re detail-oriented and analytical.
• You’re decisive under pressure.
• You care about marketplace integrity.
• You’re excited to help build something new.

Benefits

• $65K – $75K base, benchmarked at top-tier tech companies.
• Meaningful equity for every employee, regardless of role.
• 100% health premiums covered.
• 99% dental & vision covered.
• 401(k) with 4% company match.
• HSA + $1,080 annual company contribution.
• $27/day lunch stipend when working from our NYC office.
• $35/day dinner stipend when working from the NYC office after 6:30pm.

With Novig recently becoming a CFTC-designated market — the fastest designation of its kind in US history— we're bringing the prediction market built for sports fans nationwide.

We're backed by some of Silicon Valley's top investors — Pantera, Forerunner, Lux, NFX, Paul Graham, and Joe Montana — who have collectively invested over $100M behind this vision.
