Role Description

As Bolter's founder associate, you will cover a huge range of urgent and important work:

• Strategy, partnerships, fundraising, hiring, operations, and day-to-day decisions.
• This is not a purely admin role; it is a generalist operator role.
• You take ownership of real workstreams end to end, often with no playbook.
• Work directly with the GM in a lean team, supported by specialised AI agents.

What you’ll do:

• Own workstreams end to end.
• Support fundraising and investor relations.
• Prepare materials, coordinate diligence, and keep the process moving.
• Support partnerships and GTM.
• Research, reach out, and manage relationships with operators and partners.
• Help build the team by supporting hiring - from drafting role specs to coordinating the pipeline.
• Bring structure to a fast-moving company.
• Build processes, trackers, and systems for efficiency.
• Do the unglamorous work that matters - analysis, coordination, follow-ups, and decision-making.

Qualifications

• A track record of operating with real ownership - ideally in a startup, venture builder, consulting, or investment environment.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Comfort with ambiguity and problem-solving.
• High agency and follow-through.
• Genuine interest in AI, venture building, and company development.
• Organised and reliable - dependable in carrying tasks through.
• Comfortable working directly with senior people and external partners.
• Ability to leverage AI agents as a force multiplier.
• Pragmatic approach to work.

Bolter is an AI agent platform built to help people get real work done, without needing to stitch together multiple tools or spend weeks setting things up.

• Describes needs in plain language; Bolter creates and runs agents for end-to-end work.
• Retains context, remembers how you work, and creates shareable apps like trackers and dashboards.
• Currently at the validation-sprint stage, working with a small group of high-impact operators.
• The product already exists; looking for a founding designer for a significant redesign.
