[Hiring] Forward Deployed Engineer @American IT Systems

Role Description

Hiring for a Solutions Architect/Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) role, primarily post-sales.

• Responsibilities include customer success, account management, and maintaining deployments.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with infrastructure deployments, Kubernetes, Docker, and customer-facing work.
• Fluency in terminal operations and scripting is essential; coding experience is beneficial but not primary.

Requirements

• 3 - 6 years of experience in forward deployed, solutions engineering, or infra-heavy customer-facing engineering roles.
• Experience at a B2B SaaS or AI/ML infrastructure company owning post-sales technical deployments end-to-end.
• Experience with on-prem or cloud enterprise deployments.
• Experience in regulated verticals (financial services, healthcare, telecom) or navigating enterprise security reviews (SOC 2, VPC, procurement).
• Strong familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and at least one major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Writes and debugs production code in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with AI/ML systems (LLMs, RAG, agents, tracing via OpenTelemetry).
• Holds credibility with opinionated enterprise engineering teams.

Benefits

• Salary range is $170k to $260k, considering a remote arrangement and candidate location.
• Equity compensation is in the range of 0.2% to 0.3%.

Work Arrangement

• Role is fully remote with a preference for coverage across multiple time zones.
• Open to candidates from Europe, India, and the US.

• Based in the US (preferred); open to Western Europe or India if timezone coverage works — role is fully remote.
