Role Description

The Mulcher Foreman is responsible for the safe, efficient, and productive supervision of heavy industrial vegetation management and mulching operations. This role oversees field crews, equipment utilization, worksite safety, production targets, environmental compliance, and client relations while ensuring all operations are completed in accordance with company standards, project specifications, and applicable regulations. This temporary role is expected to be for 3 to 4 months duration and is located in Pelican Narrows and Sandy Bay SK.

The Mulcher Foreman provides day-to-day leadership to operators and ground personnel while maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence, hazard management, crew development, and continuous improvement. The position reports to the Operations Manager / General Manager and supervises Mulcher Operators, Labourers / Ground Personnel, and assigned subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in vegetation management, forestry mulching, land clearing, or heavy equipment operations.
• Previous supervisory or foreman experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of heavy industrial worksite safety requirements.
• Experience operating and supervising mulching equipment in remote or challenging terrain.
• Ability to interpret project scopes, maps, and worksite plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment maintenance practices.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required; Class 1 or 3 considered an asset.
• Ability to work extended shifts and travel to remote project locations.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).

• TDG Preferred
• Leadership for Safety Excellence or equivalent supervisory training preferred.
