[Hiring] Field Supervisor @Vector Power

Role Description

Reporting to the Field Manager, the Field Supervisor is a senior field position with responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of the assigned work team. Preferred locations for this role are Dallas and Houston areas.

• Lead and supervise day-to-day work in the field, ensuring deliverables are met while ensuring a high level of quality and safety.
• Mentor and provide on-the-job training to junior members of the team.
• Act as a key point of contact for the client.
• Work closely with the Field Manager to coordinate resources, scheduling, and equipment for multiple projects and clients.
• Assist with quoting and estimating.
• Perform safe and thorough inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and data collection on low, medium, and high voltage (480V to 600kV) electrical systems.
• Analyze technical issues identified on-site and provide clients with informed recommendations for repairs or upgrades.
• Perform an array of tests, including:
  • Instrument transformer testing
  • Electro-mechanical and solid-state relay testing
  • Power transformer testing (e.g., Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.)
  • Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting
  • Cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot)
• Comprehensive testing abilities on switchgear and circuit breakers, low, medium, and high voltage, is required.
• Must demonstrate strength and ability in preparing and maintaining accurate and timely reports detailing maintenance and testing results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Associates Degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience leading jobs is considered an asset.
• Strong technical background in high voltage electrical maintenance, testing, and commissioning.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Strong commitment to client service.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Valid driver’s license.
