Role Description
This is a remote, home-based internship. Full-time students from all US geographies will be considered. Our 2025 Summer internship program is an 8-week Paid Internship that runs from June 2nd – July 25th, at 37.5 hours weekly.
- Join interns across the country supporting different department focuses on American Cancer Society and ACS's Cancer Action Network.
- 80% of the time will be working within the given department, with the Intern's manager, their mentor, and the team.
- 20% will be with a cohort of other interns around American Cancer Society and ACS CAN.
- Attend regular internal and external meetings with Federal team members.
- Draft and edit memos, summaries, and briefings.
- Research various issues esoteric to the Federal team.
- Assist with additional office duties as assigned by the Federal team.
Qualifications
- Must be a full-time student; if you are an undergraduate student, you have completed your freshman year of college.
- Have a minimum of a B average (cumulative 3.0 on 4.0 scale).
- Plan to continue your education in the following term/semester.

Requirements
- Must be available for the entirety of the 8-week program: June 2 – July 25, 2025, at 37.5 hours per week.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced office environment with multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Top-notch analytical, drafting, editing, and writing skills under deadlines.
- Political savvy to work and communicate on a bi-partisan, bi-cameral basis.
