Role Description
The person selected for this role will play a significant part in ensuring that Aspen Dental continues to provide access to care in facilities that demonstrate best-in-class safety, cleanliness, and functionality. This position will be responsible for the following:
- Manage the day-to-day facility management of dental equipment and maintenance issues at multiple locations over a large geographic territory in a team-oriented atmosphere from our main office.
- Troubleshoot equipment over the phone with office staff and deliver specific instructions.
- Exercise tact and directness in dealing with the facilities vendors to ensure that required actions are completed.
- Manage expectations and performance within service level parameters.
- Verify completion of work and services.
- Effectively communicate with internal customers and contract vendors.
- Conduct data analysis and store work order history and budget tracking using online programming.
- Manage subcontractor appropriation.
- Search for vendors and sign them up.
- Handle shipping items and tracking for the Facilities Department.
- Manage billing for Facilities tickets, including contacting vendors for correct information and coordinating with ADMI billing for correct GL codes and location codes.
- Run small projects from start to finish and provide guidance to techs in the field regarding the scope of work in detail.
Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills with a sense of urgency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to meet the needs of different customers and vendors.
- Prior exposure to multi-unit facilities management concepts and best practices is helpful.
- Ability to demonstrate successful completion of multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and ability to negotiate with vendors.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Real-time problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness and eagerness to develop new skills and take on more responsibility.
Requirements
- Occasional travel and a flexible schedule may be required.
- A degree in higher education is preferred.
Benefits
- Salary: $24/hr
Work Environment
- Chicago or Syracuse based candidates are preferred; however, exceptional remote candidates will be considered.
