Role Description

This role involves maintaining and improving large datasets, specifically over 100 million records of consumer and business data.

• Convert Datasets to Elasticsearch and improve existing MySQL setup
• Convert existing MySQL databases to Elasticsearch and collaborate with the development team to build interfaces for data extraction
• Improve query performance and optimize queries used, interfacing with the database using PHP
• Optimize MySQL configuration, including My.cnf config, datatypes, and MySQL versions
• Clean up datasets by fixing data fields with mistakes and removing bad records
• Add new records to datasets from CSV/JSON files

Qualifications

• Experienced in using Elasticsearch (migrating data from MySQL to Elasticsearch)
• Experience working with large datasets over 100 million records
• Strong command of SQL and MySQL server tools
• Understanding of Linux commands and structure
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
• Good understanding of database design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Experience in using PHP or Python preferred
• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Impeccable attention to detail
