[Hiring] Europe Policy Manager, Methane Pollution Prevention @Clean Air Task Force

Role Description

The Europe Policy Manager will play an important role in the implementation of CATF's methane strategies to reduce emissions from major emitting sectors across the European continent. The role includes:

• Developing and advocating for policies that promote methane reduction in partnership with CATF's MPP team, advocacy and communications teams, and other regional teams.
• Leading MPP policy education and advocacy, advancing MPP policy activities and priorities at national governments and EU institutions.
• Substantive policy work including:
  • Monitoring and evaluation of existing policies and policy concepts across energy, waste, and agriculture sectors.
  • Developing new policies.
  • Planning and executing outreach campaigns with relevant CATF teams.
  • Supporting technical capacity building for implementation of regulations.
• Collaborating with allied NGOs, industry, expert, and government-based stakeholders.
• Cultivating and nurturing new opportunities in Europe through extensive networking.

Qualifications

• BSc/BA is required; MSc/MA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant professional work experience.
• Thorough knowledge of EU climate policy.
• Proven expertise in methane mitigation (professional or educational experience).
• Knowledge of EU institutions and legislative system.
