[Hiring] Estimator @Get Flooring

Role Description

Fast paced, Chicago based flooring company is looking for a full time Estimator to join the Get-Flooring team!

As a Flooring Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the materials and their quantities required for various flooring projects. Your primary duties will involve:

• Reviewing project specifications, architectural drawings, and floor plans to understand the scope and requirements of flooring projects.
• Collaborating with project managers, sales teams, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
• Utilizing industry-specific software tools (e.g., Measure Square) to accurately calculate material quantities.
• Considering factors such as material type, subfloor condition, installation method, and other variables to provide appropriate recommendations and estimates.
• Maintaining accurate records of project details, estimations, and communications.
• Staying updated with industry trends, flooring products, and installation techniques to provide informed recommendations and accurate estimates.
• Exhibiting attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex project specifications and architectural drawings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Flooring Estimator or similar role, with expertise in estimating flooring materials.
• Strong knowledge of flooring types, installation methods, subfloor preparation, and industry standards.
• Proficient in using industry-specific software tools for estimation, such as flooring estimation software, CAD software, and measurement tools.
• Excellent mathematical skills and ability to perform precise calculations and measurements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience can be considered.
