[Hiring] Estimator @Morris and Spottiswood

Role Description

We require an experienced Estimator who has a proven track record in pricing all general building projects including small works refurbishment repairs and maintenance.

• Demonstrate experience in preparing, pricing and submitting tenders to a high quality
• Have full analytical estimating knowledge of building and joinery work
• Experienced in the preparation of contract preliminaries
• Ensure that projects tendered for are successfully awarded
• Attend all pre-tender meetings, liaising with the client
• Ensure that all tenders submitted are competitive

Qualifications

• Educated to at least HND level
• Strong understanding of Estimating issues
• Experience with Measured Term Contracts is beneficial

Requirements

• Strong commercial acumen with good negotiation skills
• Ability to liaise effectively with clients and architects
• Sound knowledge & experience of general building projects up to a value of £100K
• Background in estimating or surveying
• First class grounding in the preparation of proposals and tenders
• Flexible in terms of hours work
• Computer literate; knowledge of Conquest Estimation Software would be an advantage
• Full UK driving licence
