Role Description

Our team partners across business and technology to modernize data platforms, accelerate cloud adoption, and advance analytics and AI capabilities that power smarter decisions across the company.

The Opportunity:

• Defining and socializing the data analytic practices across the Allstate corporation.
• Providing strategic guidance for technical and business teams on ingestion, integration, data visualization, and advanced analytics including generative AI.
• Focusing on large scale data lake implementation and data lake house modernization.
• Engaging with senior leaders, engineers, and architects to build solutions for enterprise-scale analytics and intelligence.
• Rolling up sleeves to develop prototypes, evaluate emerging technologies, and influence the next generation of data and AI platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Rich experience building POC’s with at least 1-2 successful adoptions across Enterprise.
• 10 to 15 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines such as data architecture, technical cloud architecture, analytics & data science, big data technologies, database management, data governance & security.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in implementation and performance tuning MPP databases (Oracle Exadata, Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in lead roles architecting solutions at scale for cloud data platforms.
• Experience designing analytics environments for use with data visualization and model development tools.
• Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Experience in analyzing Data Warehouses such as Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, etc.
• Experience in analyzing Cloud Data Warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, or Snowflake, etc.
• Experience designing database environments and making recommendations to optimize performance.
• Hands-on experience architecting and building secure, scalable, and flexible enterprise data projects.
• Expertise in building secure and scalable data ingestion, ETL/ELT solutions.
• Experience with data warehouse data structure and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with data structures and models for a microservices environment.
• Hands-on experience in leading large-scale enterprise data warehousing (EDW) projects.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Product development mindset and expertise in CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with big data platforms, SQL & no SQL databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and modern lakehouse architectures.
• Experience building AI-enabled analytics platforms, AI agents, or generative AI solutions.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud and analytics transformation programs.
• Cloud architecture certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Insurance or other highly regulated industry experience.
• Working within a scaled agile program and collaborating with product managers.
• Experience in cloud-based services such as: S3, IAM, SNS/SQS.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $134,000.00 - $209,750.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
