Role Description
This role involves providing diabetes management programs to patients in the Pell City, AL area through telemedicine.
- Work directly with pre-diabetic or early-stage diabetes patients on a multi-week program to improve their wellness and lifestyle.
- Provide diabetes management program to patients based on program guidelines.
- Consult with patients to understand their health concerns, especially around diabetes.
- Educate patients on healthy eating and lifestyle.
- Educate patients on glucose monitoring.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience following post-graduate training.
- Must have current AL license; compact license or multiple state license strongly preferred.
- Background in preventive care and endocrinology.
- Experience with diabetes management.
- Preventive medicine oriented.
- Patient education driven.
- Proficient with computers and customer service-oriented.
- Able to work independently.
Requirements
- Physician MUST be licensed in the state of Alabama.
- Compact state license is a plus!
Benefits
- Pay Rate: $140/hr for telemedicine.
- Job Type: Per Diem, 1099 contract.
- Schedule: Starting May/June 2025.
