[Hiring] Electrical Engineer III @Lighthouse Electric

Role Description

The Electrical Engineer III will work as part of the Engineering team to perform engineering design, calculations, and support for the company. This individual will take a lead design role on the team.

• Provide senior engineering technical expertise to the company.
• Utilize SKM for short-circuit, coordination, arc flash, and Neher-McGrath heat calculation studies.
• Participate in design, construction, and maintenance requirements of electrical systems.
• Design normal power, emergency power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and various low voltage electrical systems.
• Create project specifications.
• Familiarity with building codes is required.
• Provide engineering support to various departments within the company.
• Conduct project site visits and coordinate with clients.
• Opportunities to be involved with engineering marketing and business development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the electrical industry.
• Experience with SKM software (or similar) and willingness to continue using these programs.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
• Data Center and health care experience preferred.

Requirements

• BAS in Engineering from ABET accredited University (preferred).
• Professional Engineering certification (or ability to acquire) (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Excellent computer proficiency.
• Software to be used includes:
  • Revit (with various Revit plug-ins)
  • SKM
  • AGI32
  • Bluebeam Revu
  • Plan Grid
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Office Applications

Additional Requirements

• This position may require travel to out-of-state jobsites and occasional overnight trips.
