[Hiring] EDI/SAP Contractor @EDI Staffing

Role Description

Seeking contractor(s) to build their EDI connection to SAP for the US market.

• Ongoing EDI support/maintenance need beyond the initial backlog.
• Additional EDI Support in the U.S. with a backlog of customers needing on-board and ongoing EDI maintenance.
• Building a connection between SPS and their SAP system (older SAP version).
• Orders currently go in manually until the above connection is complete, creating a bottleneck with SPS.
• Need someone to help build this connection and assist with onboarding trading partners, in communication with SAP.
• This person will need to know about connections and write some documentation.
• Primary EDI transaction sets include 846, 850, 855, and 856.
• Additional projects expected, including a potential warehouse move; experience with warehouse-related EDI transactions such as 940, 943, 944, and 945 would be a plus.
• SAP IDoc experience is required.
• Experience with an older version of SAP is a plus.
• Currently partnered with SPS Commerce to build/maintain the connection between SPS and SAP.
• SPS handles the EDI mapping; these resources will be responsible for testing and technical setup/support.
• Resources will need to work within the systems to ensure configurations and connections are properly set up and functioning.
• Strong EDI testing/troubleshooting experience is needed.
• This is a purely technical, hands-on role rather than a functional/business-facing EDI position.
• There may be occasional early mornings to collaborate with the team in Europe.
• Could become a longer-term/ongoing need as additional EDI projects come up.

Qualifications

• SAP IDoc experience.
• Experience with older versions of SAP.
• Strong EDI testing/troubleshooting experience.

Requirements

• Experience building EDI connections.
• Ability to assist with onboarding trading partners.
• Knowledge of primary EDI transaction sets (846, 850, 855, and 856).
• Familiarity with warehouse-related EDI transactions (940, 943, 944, and 945) is a plus.
• Technical setup/support experience.
