Role Description

Act as the EcoSys Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for configuration, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of EcoSys across projects, providing strategic guidance, standardization, and effective system use to support project controls and EPC execution. The SME bridges business requirements and system capabilities — acting as functional advisor and technical owner throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Implementation & Configuration:
  • Set up and configure projects, structures, and users in EcoSys per global standards and project requirements.
  • Translate project controls and business requirements into EcoSys functional design and configuration.
  • Support the Project Information Manager in planning and coordinating Project Delivery Systems implementation.
  • Deliver functional walkthroughs, training sessions, and system demonstrations to project teams.
• Functional Advisory & Governance:
  • Advise projects on best practices for using EcoSys to achieve project controls outcomes.
  • Define, maintain, and enforce EcoSys standards, templates, and governance across all project locations.
  • Review and approve complex configurations, change requests, and usage approaches from project teams.
  • Ensure alignment between evolving project execution needs and EcoSys capabilities.
  • Provide authoritative guidance during start-up, execution, and close-out phases.
• Project & User Support:
  • Provide EcoSys support via ServiceNow, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, and user assistance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and optimize usage across functions and locations.
  • Monitor system usage to ensure compliance with global standards and effective adoption.
  • Perform system health checks throughout the lifecycle and support closeout with lessons learned.
• New Release Testing & Deployment Management:
  • Lead testing of all EcoSys modules and interfaces aligned to global configuration standards.
  • Assess business impact of upgrades and new releases to protect project delivery.
  • Coordinate with the EcoSys vendor for issue resolution and timely defect closure.
  • Plan and support production rollout, including communication, readiness, and change management.
  • Monitor post-deployment performance and manage stabilization until stability is confirmed.
• Integration & Data Flow Management:
  • Guide integration design and data flow between EcoSys and external systems (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP/ERP, Aconex).
  • Support validation and troubleshooting of interfaces to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Collaborate with interface owners to resolve data mapping issues and ensure seamless interoperability.
• Systems Knowledge & Continuous Improvement:
  • Maintain in-depth expertise across EcoSys modules, project controls processes, and EPC execution workflows.
  • Evaluate new functionality and determine fit-for-purpose adoption aligned with business needs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reporting, and data visibility, contributing to the EcoSys roadmap with global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on EcoSys configuration, administration, and support.
• 10+ years overall in application configuration, support, or EPC/project controls environments.
• Demonstrated experience in Oil & Gas or EPC industry project delivery.
• Proven track record managing system upgrades, rollouts, and post-deployment stabilization.
