[Hiring] Dynamics 365 Solution Architect @MCA Connect

Role Description

The Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX Solution Architect is responsible for consulting on Dynamics 365 ERP engagements including implementation, upgrade, and/or extension of existing applications. The Solution Architect is responsible for overseeing and executing on the Solution scope of Dynamics 365 F&O as well as for assisting clients in the implementation and support of Dynamics 365 F&O. They will be involved in improving operational metrics, business case development, and performance measurement. They will provide functional knowledge and manage client relationships within the context of their individual role. Position requires up to 50% travel.

The Solution Architect should have business functional experience to support analysis first at a business process level, comprehension of business terminology, and a variety of best practice knowledge to support effective translation of requirements. The Solution Architect must also have practical experience in other process areas of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX to configure and implement a cohesive solution that best fits the needs of the customer and to support the project team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with MCA Connect team to ensure that the implementation meets the customers’ expectations.
  • Provide cross-functional knowledge and guidance on the configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O/ERP.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of quality results.
  • Display confidence and experience to support being recognized as a trusted advisor.
  • Promote and encourage change management methods to support customer acceptance and system adoption.
  • Respond to Senior Management concerns and key decisions affecting the project.
  • Escalate and communicate risks and challenges to support overall project solution.
  • Prioritize and maintain focus on the customers’ visionary goals.
• Successful implementation of practical business solutions using industry best practices – 30%
  • Facilitate the implementation and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O/ERP.
  • Lead the transition from strategic business transformation decisions to successful delivery.
  • Define functional requirements and document solution designs; conduct gap analysis.
  • Ensure quality of design, configuration, and testing of core Dynamics 365 ERP modules.
  • Review design requirements and deliver recommended changes.
  • Specify and convey requirements for custom code, integrations, and custom reports.
  • Communicate with client senior leadership to facilitate key business decisions.
  • Participate as “Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX Expert” in the Executive Steering Committee.
  • Facilitate cross-practice coordination.
  • Support technical lead regarding questions on customizations and timelines.
• Project team support and management – 30%
  • Ensure project team members follow MCA Connect methodology standards.
  • Create and execute on the final system cutover plan for Go Live.
  • Define an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) plan for post Go Live maintenance.
  • Manage and support the generation of user documentation.
  • Provide training for end users and system administrators.
  • Assist with data migration plans and reconciliation.
  • Assist customer with LCS initial setup.
  • Create Azure DevOps test plan and assure completion and sign off.
  • Support and monitor CRP/UAT issue resolution and risk escalations.
  • Mentor team to support knowledge transfer and project success.
  • Provide scoping documentation for subsequent Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Create periodic status reports for project team and executive leadership.
  • Track customizations, deliverables, and timeliness of completion.
  • Attend Microsoft Fastrack meetings and comply with Microsoft Fasttrack policies.
  • Manage ISV decisions and collaboration with the functional team.
  • Monitor and coordinate Microsoft version updates.
  • Promote continuous learning and D365 feature enhancement review.
• MCA representation and Communication – 5%
  • Create and deliver content for internal and external training and communication.
  • Represent MCA Connect at promotional and educational events.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX as an implementation functional lead.
• Minimum of 2 full lifecycle Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX implementations (Analysis – Deployment).
• Minimum 5 years of industry and/or consulting experience.
• Certification in Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX Supply Chain/Production/Finance, or attainment of certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Strong industry experience within Manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of industry-specific best practices.
• Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills.
• Strong customer relationship skills.
• Ability to establish priorities and work independently.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• English: Fluent.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Desired Qualifications

• Certification in at least one other Dynamics 365 F&O/Dynamics AX module, or attainment of certification within first 90 days of employment.
• AX 2012 experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Accounting or related field.
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Master Certification.
• Microsoft Sure Step Certification.
• Experience with other Dynamics 365 ERP/Dynamics AX Modules.
• Experience with frequently used ISVs: Dynaway Blue, ATOS, Seeburger, SKGlobal, CCH, Credit card processors, ExpertLogic.
• APICS CPIM or CSCP.
