[Hiring] Duty Supervisor @North West Recruitment

Role Description

Our client is currently seeking 2 x Duty Supervisors to work in a busy store in a remote community in North-Western Australia. Located on the coast, this small community offers a fantastic outdoor lifestyle and an excellent opportunity to experience community life, particularly for a couple looking for the chance to work together in a new environment.

• Reporting to the Store Managers, the Duty Supervisor/s will assist with the day-to-day operation of the store including:
• Customer service
• Cashier duties
• Opening and closing
• Maintaining stock
• Rotating stock
• Store merchandising
• Stock ordering
• Staff supervision
• Assisting in the takeaway kitchen (as required)
• Cleaning the store and warehouse areas

These roles will be provided with hands-on training across all areas to develop the skills required to successfully grow into Duty Supervisor positions. The role is also a career stepping stone into a managerial position, with Duty Supervisors taking on responsibility as Acting Store Manager on weekends as required. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in remote community stores, retail stores or roadhouses (preferred)
• Previous experience working in remote locations (preferred)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible approach, positive attitude, punctuality and a willingness to learn
• Current forklift licence, or willingness and ability to obtain one
• Current National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one prior to commencement
• A commitment to remain in the role for a minimum of 12 months
• Full Australian working rights for the duration of the position

Requirements

• Due to the minimum 12-month commitment required, these positions are not suitable for applicants seeking short-term or holiday employment.
