Role Description

Dakota Matting & Environmental Solutions is seeking a highly organized, detail-driven DOT Compliance Coordinator to run the day-to-day operations of our fleet compliance program. Reporting to the DOT & Fleet Compliance Specialist, you will own the recurring, time-sensitive work that keeps our multi-state commercial fleet compliant with FMCSA regulations:

• Driver qualification files
• Drug and alcohol testing
• Hours-of-Service monitoring
• Driver coaching
• Compliance reporting
• Vehicle registration renewals

This position is fully remote for candidates based in Florida; however, strong preference will be given to candidates able to work on-site at our Coral Springs office. This is a phone-intensive role, requiring significant daily communication with drivers.

Success requires professionalism, persistence, and the confidence to be direct and assertive when enforcing federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. For the right candidate, this is an excellent entry point into the DOT compliance field, offering hands-on experience with industry-leading platforms.

Qualifications

• Comfortable with extensive inbound and outbound phone work
• Confident being direct and assertive in difficult conversations
• Tech-savvy and comfortable working across multiple software systems
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and consistency
• A quiet, professional home workspace with reliable high-speed internet
• Associate's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience

Requirements

• At least 1 year of DOT compliance experience in a similar role (preferred)
• Demonstrated working knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations
