[Hiring] District Manager @Vuori, Inc

Role Description

Based in Washington DC or Philadelphia, this role will be at the ground level of building and developing Vuori’s unique and fast-growing shopping experience. We are looking for an experienced leader who desires the challenge of a fast-growing business.

You are the ultimate ambassador of our brand; accountable for creating a highly productive environment in which customers have a fun and memorable experience, employees are motivated to do their best, and the business thrives. You understand the importance of engaging with and building the Vuori community through our retail locations and will partner with Marketing to design and facilitate local events and activations.

What you'll get to do:

• Leadership & People Management
  • Effectively manage Vuori stores in your region through touch-bases, in-person visits, and development conversations.
  • Continuously audit and improve operational processes.
  • Oversee the hiring process for all store roles, supporting General Managers in their hiring decisions.
  • Support General Managers in creating a culture of performance feedback, support, and recognition.
  • Stay up-to-date on HR compliance laws in your region and ensure teams abide by labor law policies.
  • Develop and audit onboarding and ongoing training materials for the Vuori retail teams.
• Cross-Functional Partnership
  • Act as a liaison between HQ and Vuori retail stores through regular communications.
  • Create and facilitate a pipeline for bottom-up communication of ideas, customer insights, and best practices.
  • Partner with Retail New Store Opening Manager and team to produce new store openings in your region.
• Sales & Operations
  • Own the store performance: Meet and exceed revenue targets in your region.
  • Partner with Merch/Marketing to ensure brand consistency and standards are upheld in each Vuori store.
  • Support General Managers with scheduling and payroll; ensure teams are properly staffed.
  • Track and update regional P&L find opportunities for cost savings and profit driving.
  • Ensure store standards are maintained, including merchandising visuals, marketing, cleanliness, and safety.
• Community
  • Lead innovation in the community, reaching out to new communities and driving traffic in established markets.
  • Establish an ongoing rapport with the local community and act as a local brand ambassador.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in multi-unit retail leadership.
• An obsessive approach to elevating the customer experience.
• Act like an owner: if something isn’t working, you fix it.
• Availability must reflect the needs of the business, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Extensive experience with P&L, POS & CRM.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships while managing multiple projects.
• Expertise in human resources, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, payroll, and performance management.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

• Base salary ranges from $129,000 to $165,000 annually.
• This position is eligible for additional compensation in the form of a commission, with a target annual commission of $30,000.
