[Hiring] Director, Sr. Information Security @Office Depot

Role Description

A Sr. Director, Information Security is responsible for developing and authorizing implementation of departmental policies. This position directs the activities of one or more functional areas through managers/senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. This position has control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods. This position works on complex problems within information security functional areas by identifying and evaluating issues through assessments.

• Designs, develops, and implements the security infrastructure roadmap for ODP and affiliates
• Identify and present risk management issues to executive leadership
• Deploy security measures to mitigate risk across the enterprise
• Develop and maintain relationships with information technology hardware/software and consulting service suppliers
• Manage an incident response, vendor relationships, outsourcing contracts, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Area of Study: Computer Science, Information Security
• Minimum Years of Experience: 10+
• Type of Experience: 10 years in a managerial role, 10+ years of experience in eMarketing, eMerchandising and Information Technology field and leading/managing eCommerce teams

• Analytical Skills: Superior analytical skills; capable of refining strategic, technical roadmaps and synthesizing to make improvements and recommendations. Relies on scientific findings in decision making, establishes relevant KPIs and routinely tracks them.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; regularly required to make presentations to stakeholders, and must clearly present, articulate, and defend research findings, design decisions, and formulated strategies to the stakeholders in a way that they can relate to and easily understand.
• Interpersonal/People Skills: Ability to facilitate smooth collaboration and relations necessary to be successful in this role; not troubled by complications, disagreements, and unnecessary delays. Ability to build trust among team members and convince people to follow him/her. Effective presentation skills. Exceptional relationship building skills required.
• Leadership Qualities: Ability to continuously drive results, display a high level of confidence not just in self but in other people as well, inspire and motivate team performance. Demonstrate an ability to navigate complex situations and tasks with calmness and composure, setting an example for others. Ability to identify, attract, and develop team talent.
• Experience with functionality delivery from concept to deployment, as well as leveraging mobile, social, and other rich media applications to build web solutions that delight customers.
