  • Establish the strategic and financial direction of the departments, manage budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, and identify opportunities to generate non-dues revenue and support organizational growth.
  • Develop and execute state and federal advocacy strategies addressing legislative, regulatory, reimbursement, patient safety, and clinical-practice priorities affecting plastic surgery.
  • Serve as ASPS’s primary lobbyist before Congress, state legislatures, and other governmental and regulatory bodies while building relationships with key coalitions and partner organizations.
  • Oversee ASPS’s engagement with public and private payers, advocating for appropriate coverage policies, reimbursement practices, and CPT valuation.
  • Strengthen communication and engagement with ASPS members, physician leaders, state and regional plastic surgery societies, policymakers, payers, and other external stakeholders.
  • Oversee PlastyPAC’s strategy and operations, including contribution planning, recipient assessment, and compliance with federal and state reporting requirements.
  • Build advocacy capacity among ASPS members and affiliated societies through education, training, grassroots engagement, and state-specific programs and resources.
