[Hiring] Director of Business Process Excellence @Omnidian

Role Description

Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, the Director of Business Process Excellence improves how work moves across Omnidian’s teams to reduce cost, delays, and rework while maintaining service quality. This individual contributor establishes enterprise process architecture, standards, and governance, and personally leads prioritized cross-functional improvement initiatives. You will partner across Go-To-Market, Operations, Field Services, and Technology to map workflows, analyze performance data, facilitate cross-functional redesign sessions, and define business system requirements.

What You'll Do

• Enterprise Process Architecture & Optimization (30%)
  • Own enterprise process architecture and standards, and lead the design and optimization of prioritized end-to-end workflows across business functions and core systems.
  • Lead current-state baselining initiatives to identify handoff friction, cycle-time lag, rework drivers, and capacity constraints.
  • Architect and deploy Target Operating Models, streamlined workflows, and business requirement specifications.
  • Partner continuously with Product Leadership to ensure operational process designs support commercialized product profitability.
• Core Operations Re-Architecture & Upstream Integration (30%)
  • Partner directly with Operations and Field Service leadership to re-architect high-friction value streams.
  • Trace operational workflows upstream to isolate and resolve root-cause friction.
  • Lead process baselining and workflow integration to support global platform migrations and regional expansions.
• Collaborative Capability Model & Functional SME Partnership (25%)
  • Partner with and coordinate designated process talent across functional departments.
  • Establish standardized process mapping standards and documentation templates.
  • Coach and embed structured process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Governance, Enterprise Guardrails & Systems Alignment (15%)
  • Provide technical architecture and process design recommendations.
  • Evaluate cross-functional handoffs and ensure local functional designs serve the broader enterprise value stream.
  • Surface objective value-stream data and trade-off recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Define business architecture and technical system requirements for enterprise software.
  • Partner closely with Technology and IT leadership to translate recommended process designs into platform configuration specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise process engineering, value stream mapping, operational excellence, or management consulting.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Master Black Belt / equivalent formal continuous improvement pedigree) required.
• Deep experience integrating business operational workflows into major enterprise software platforms.
• Experience in clean energy, renewable technology, technical field service, logistics, or complex operational environments strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, or a technical/quantitative field required; advanced degree or MBA preferred.

Compensation

• $155,000 - $205,000 a year (Midpoint $180,000).
• Annual merit increases can bring total compensation above the initial range.
• 100% coverage of health insurance monthly premiums for employees and 50% for dependents.

• Up to $500 in annual learning reimbursement for courses, certifications, or conferences.
