Role Description

The Director, Enterprise Architecture translates business needs into technical systems solutions and architectural roadmaps. The Director, Enterprise Architecture Activation requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across functions or segments.

• Guide a team of architects through the activation of architecture principles, patterns, and standards to address and solve business issues.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure architectures created for business or technical solutions meet expected outcomes and can be technically executed.
• Identify information technology architectures and facilitate architecture development with a clear line of sight to business goals.
• Participate in governance activities to ensure compliance with enterprise and solution architecture standards.
• Ensure implementation of technology standards and create visibility to enterprise impacts of solutions on operational and financials.
• Provide leadership in developing the organization's technical and architectural staff.
• Make decisions related to intradepartmental coordination, development and implementation of strategic plans, and business outcomes.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the scope of management that are aligned with the Segment or Business strategy.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 8 or more years of technical experience
• 5 or more years of management experience
• Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects spanning multiple enterprise systems
• 10 or more years design, development, and testing of software applications
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Requirements

• Work at Home Requirements:
  • Self-provided internet service must meet a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps.
  • Wireless, wired cable, or DSL connection is suggested.
  • In certain roles, the minimum recommended internet speed may not be sufficient for business needs.
  • Humana reserves the right to require associates to upgrade their internet service if necessary.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
• Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
