Role Description

This role involves ensuring that Revenue Cycle goals, objectives, and vision are achieved. Working with senior leadership, the role develops short and long-range plans with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Establish and implement policies and procedures and identify growth opportunities.
• Direct oversight of daily operations including management of managers, supervisors, and coders.
• Integral in the development, implementation, and maintenance of efficient processes, coding compliance plan, and coding education for Ensemble and Clients.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in Cardiology, CVTS, or Vascular specialty leadership for at least 2-3 years.

• Stays abreast of industry coding issues and changes that will impact coding and charging patterns.
• Ensures all coding and abstracting of health records meet established standards of accuracy, timeliness, quality, and productivity.
• Demonstrates proficiency in using payer and coding specific websites to maintain up-to-date coding knowledge including new changes to coding compliance and reimbursement.
• Demonstrate the ability to quickly identify incorrect coding and compliance trends; to analyze, investigate suspected problems to determine root cause and resolution.
• Manages staffing resources including training and performance management.
• Demonstrates the ability to independently research and accurately resolve insurance denials in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate proficiency in working with the Epic billing system; includes accurate charge entry.
