[Hiring] Digital Governance Operations Consultant @AGORA

Role Description

The Digital Governance and Platforms (DGP) team within UNICEF’s Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (GCA) plays a critical role in managing UNICEF’s public-facing digital ecosystem, ensuring that governance frameworks, workflows, and platforms are implemented consistently, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational standards.

As part of its Digital Transformation Strategy and Future Generation Initiative, UNICEF is advancing several key priorities, including:

• Implementation and rollout of the Web Content Lifecycle Project
• Deployment of a corporate Web Archiving solution

These initiatives are essential to:

• Improving operational efficiency
• Strengthening compliance
• Reducing digital risks
• Ensuring that UNICEF’s web presence remains relevant, trustworthy, and sustainable

To support these efforts, UNICEF is seeking a qualified consultant to work with the DGP team to:

• Drive the operational implementation, coordination, and follow-up of these initiatives across global, regional, and country offices
• Ensure that delivery is tracked against defined milestones
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain momentum

The consultant will focus on:

• Operational delivery
• Stakeholder coordination
• Implementation tracking
• Supporting the rollout and adoption of the Web Content Lifecycle and Web Archiving initiatives

Qualifications

• A university degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Digital Governance, or related field
• Information Technology, Web Development, or related subjects

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in digital governance, web management, or digital project coordination
• Proven experience supporting the implementation of operational projects and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely
• Strong understanding of digital governance frameworks, particularly in managing public-facing digital platforms
• Proven ability to coordinate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
• Familiarity with web content management systems (preferably Drupal)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of another official UN language is an asset
