Role Description

The Dietetics Office Clerk provides support to the Food Services department, including:

• Verifying diet orders, supplements, and snacks
• Updating resident food requirements
• Conducting inventory
• Checking and data entering recipes in relation to therapeutic needs for menus
• Auditing diet databases in comparison with resident documentation
• Measuring Dietary Reference Intake for different menus
• Assisting with meal preparation and service
• Assisting with inventory management
• Providing administrative support including data entry and Chinese word-processing

Contract Length: 8 weeks

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Rate: $17.60/hour

Qualifications

• Must be between the ages of 15-30 years at the start of the job
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number and be legally able to work in Ontario
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
• Proven demonstrated initiative
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work remotely as required
• Previous experience working with the elderly population is an asset
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, or a South-Asian language required for some positions
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required

• Must provide a recent satisfactory vulnerable sector police reference check and medical clearance certificate
