Role Description
This role involves working as a Subject Matter Expert within the Product Development team at PeopleCert to help develop content that supports the DevOps Institute brand and portfolio.

Content Creation & Product Alignment:
- Contribute to the creation, review, and maintenance of DevOps Institute Official Books, Exams, Official Training Materials, and Digital Content.
- Ensure that content aligns with product and technical specifications and meets evolving market demands.
- Keep content up to date and relevant based on customer feedback, market insight, and product strategy.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all DevOps Institute content types.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing to drive the global success of DevOps Institute.
- Collaborate closely with Product Architects and Product Managers to ensure alignment with the overall product strategy and vision.
- Prioritize and deliver content creation, review, and maintenance according to the agreed roadmap.

Sharing Expertise:
- Act as an internal Subject Matter Expert to support the broader organization, including internal trainings and webinars.
- Participate in conferences and deliver external presentations as required.

External SMEs:
- Collaborate with Product Architects and other internal teams to identify, onboard, and manage a comprehensive database of external Subject Matter Experts.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ relevant experience working with DevOps Institute products in a training or consultancy role.
- Certified with as many DevOps Institute/DevOps certifications as possible.
- Certified with related certifications from the PeopleCert portfolio, and/or other providers (e.g., in Project, Programme and Portfolio Management, SCRUM, Agile, Change Management, Service Management, DevOps).
- Solid understanding of the DevOps ecosystem and competition landscape.
- Experience in product development.
- Experience in authoring, reviewing, and editing content.
- Experience in collaborating with Subject Matter Experts.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Excellent writing and project management skills.
- Native or excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification is required; LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus).
- Advanced computer literacy is required; ECDL Advanced level certification is desirable.
Requirements
- Background checks are required for personnel engaged in the SELT service, including:
- A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity, and place of residence).
- HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)).
- Financial background check.
- Employment reference check.
- If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), personnel will undergo equivalent background checks.
- Personnel must be appropriately skilled in the English language and, where SELT services are provided outside of the UK, the official language of the relevant country.
