Role Description
S L Raheja Hospital is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT support team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our hospital staff, ensuring that their desktop and laptop systems are functioning optimally. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the hospital's technology infrastructure by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and ensuring that all systems are secure and up-to-date. As a Desktop Support Engineer, effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams are essential. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of our healthcare professionals, allowing them to focus on delivering exceptional patient care without technology interruptions.
- Provide technical support for desktop and laptop hardware and software issues.
- Assist users with troubleshooting and resolving technical problems both in person and remotely.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with hospital policies.
- Keep an inventory of hardware and software assets and provide recommendations for upgrades.
- Document support requests and resolution steps for future reference.
- Contribute to IT projects as needed, helping to improve the overall technology environment in the hospital.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience in desktop support or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with hardware components and peripheral devices.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with remote desktop support tools and software.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.
