Role Description

• Provides leadership in the design solutions, implementation, and maintenance of databases.
• Perform root cause analysis, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation of multiple, large development projects.
• Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
• Serve as team lead liaison between business customers, development, and support groups.
• Coach the development of less senior DBAs.
• Ensure deliverables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field plus 5 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
• As an equivalent alternative, a Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems or related field plus 3 years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
• Experience with:
  • Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage Database Optimization and Performance Tuning
  • Advanced Cloud/Teradata Vantage SQL (for Applications/Reporting)
  • Advanced (Shell/PowerShell/Python) Scripting for Automation
  • Advanced Data Security and Compliance
  • Advanced Database Management
  • Advanced Cloud Data Platform Design/Development
  • Advanced Data Engineering
  • Advanced Analytics / Reporting Design/Development
• Employer will accept one (1) year of directly related experience in lieu of one (1) year of education.
• This position is eligible for telecommuting and may be located anywhere within the United States excluding Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. territories.
