Role Description

Take the lead as a Database Administrator and drive the performance, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical data platforms powering global financial intelligence. Your key responsibilities as a Database Administrator will include:

• Developing, debugging, and optimising T-SQL stored procedures to support ETL/ELT processes and automation workflows.
• Managing SQL Server instances across environments, including installation, configuration, patching, and capacity planning.
• Designing and maintaining backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies while ensuring high availability of systems.
• Monitoring and tuning database performance, including query optimisation, indexing, and resource management.
• Supporting cloud integrations and managing database environments within AWS and Azure platforms.
• Collaborating with development teams to review and optimise database solutions, ensuring efficient and secure deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong experience managing SQL Server environments, including installation, configuration, security, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on expertise in T-SQL and developing stored procedures for data processing and automation.
• Experience working with cloud-based database systems in AWS or Azure environments.
• Proficiency in scripting, such as PowerShell, to support automation and administration tasks.
• Solid understanding of database performance optimisation, backup strategies, and high availability solutions.
