Role Description

• Administer and maintain database systems, including PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Ensure high availability and fault tolerance through cluster configuration and replication setup.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries to improve efficiency and response times.
• Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data safety.
• Automate routine operational tasks using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve data models and optimize SQL queries.
• Configure and use monitoring tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, PMM, Temboard, PgHero, and Loki.
• Maintain data security by managing access control and applying best practices.
• Participate in database migration and upgrade projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and share knowledge with team members.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience working as a Database Administrator.
• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including tools such as Patroni, HAProxy, Keepalived, and PgBouncer.
• Experience working with ClickHouse, MySQL/MariaDB (including Galera), MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.
• Proven ability to support high-load, highly available systems in production environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, PMM, Temboard, and PgHero.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
• Understanding of data security principles and access management.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
