[Hiring] Data Entry Operator I @University of Iowa

Role Description

The primary function of the position, under direct supervision, enters data from source materials using CRT terminal to transfer data to computer files. May perform coding of source materials before entry using specified guidelines. Operation of CRT terminal is majority of job responsibility.

Work Schedule:

• Part time, 20 hours a week.
• Wednesday-Sunday 3-6 hour shift between 11PM - 8AM.

Position Status: Part Time (50% FTE)

Work Modality: Remote within Iowa, after initial on-site training in Ankeny, IA.

Qualifications

• Clerical office experience or post high school education which totals one year.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience working with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Teams.
• Medical or Newborn Screening experience preferred.
• Knowledge of automated data processing systems and basic computer operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with people at different levels and from various backgrounds.
• Ability to learn tasks remotely using Teams, Zoom, Skype, etc.
