Role Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Data Entry Intern to support our team with data collection, research, verification, and database management.

The Data Entry Intern will assist with collecting, organising, verifying, and maintaining accurate business and contact information using online research tools and search engines. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with a laptop, navigating online platforms, and handling repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy. This is a remote opportunity suitable for someone who is organised, eager to learn, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct online research to identify and collect relevant business and professional information.
• Use LinkedIn, search engines, and other online platforms to source and verify information.
• Assist with lead generation and prospect research using tools such as RocketReach.
• Enter, organise, update, and maintain data in spreadsheets, databases, and other designated systems.
• Verify the accuracy and completeness of collected information.
• Identify and correct duplicate, outdated, or inaccurate records.
• Maintain proper records and ensure information is organised and accessible.
• Follow established data collection procedures and meet assigned targets and deadlines.
• Handle company information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide regular updates on assigned tasks and report any challenges promptly.

Qualifications

• Basic computer literacy and confidence in using a laptop.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar spreadsheet tools.
• Ability to navigate online search engines and conduct effective internet research.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and processes.
• Good internet connectivity and access to a reliable laptop.
• Reliable electricity or a suitable backup power arrangement to support uninterrupted work.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to receive feedback.

Requirements

• Familiarity with LinkedIn for professional and business research.
• Experience using RocketReach or similar lead-generation and contact-research tools.
• Familiarity with VPNs and the ability to use them responsibly where authorised and necessary.
• Previous experience in data entry, online research, lead generation, or administrative support.
• Residence in Victoria Island, Lagos, or surrounding areas.

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote internship. The successful candidate must have a suitable working environment, a functional laptop, reliable internet access, and a dependable electricity supply or backup.
