Role Description

High Bluff Academy is seeking a detail-oriented, efficient, and reliable Data Entry Clerk (Remote) to join our administrative team. • Database Maintenance: Accurately input and update student records, including contact information, attendance, grades, and health records, within our Student Information System (SIS).
• Digitization & Migration: Assist in transitioning physical or legacy digital archives into our current cloud-based databases.
• Verification & Auditing: Conduct regular "data scrubs" to identify and correct inconsistencies, duplicate entries, or missing information.
• Admissions Support: Process new applicant data and upload supporting documents (transcripts, letters of recommendation) into the admissions portal.
• Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly data reports for the Registrar and Head of School to assist in enrollment forecasting and academic tracking.
• Confidentiality: Maintain the highest standards of data security in accordance with FERPA and school privacy policies.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and Google Sheets.
• Experience with school-specific software (e.g., Blackbaud, PowerSchool, or Veracross) is a significant advantage.
• Minimum typing speed of 65 WPM with 99% accuracy.
• 2+ years of experience in data entry, preferably within an educational or medical setting where data sensitivity is high.
• Must have a reliable computer, a secondary monitor (highly recommended for efficiency), and a high-speed, secure internet connection.
• A natural "detective" mindset for spotting errors or outliers in large datasets.
